BACKGROUND:
Steven M. White is a founder of the law firm of White & MacDonald, LLP. Mr. White has developed a diverse real estate and construction practice. Mr. White serves as general counsel to community associations, offering services associated with document interpretation and enforcement, member discipline, fiduciary responsibilities, document amendments, and election matters.
Mr. White also represents property owners in real estate matters involving interpretation and resolution of boundary disputes, easements, covenants, and quiet title actions. In addition, Mr. Whites represents commercial property owners and tenants in drafting, interpretation and disputes involving leases and guarantees. Mr. White has considerable experience representing parties involved in conflicts related to the purchase and sale of residential and commercial real estate.
In addition to his real estate practice, Mr. White represents developers, contractors and subcontractors as general or litigation counsel in relation to contract formation, risk assessment and dispute resolution. Mr. White has represented clients in various construction defect resolution procedures including the California Builder’s “Right to Repair Act” (SB 800), Calderon Act, and contractual arbitration.
Mr. White’s trial experience includes representation of clients in a variety of actions including construction defect, personal injury, real estate, and business disputes. Mr. White has represented consumers of defective products in mass and class action litigation.
Mr. White volunteers substantial time to his community, serving as a volunteer director for multiple non-profit corporations and organizations.
